I was an invited panelist at an event on Private Copying Exemption, Rightsholders and Remuneration, organized by Musictank and the University of Westminster. I talked about our Alternative Compensation Schemes project at the Re:publica conference in Berlin. Pep Vallbe and I presented our study on Alternative compensation systems at the Copyright 4 Innovation conference in the Hague. With my colleague Pep Vallbe we presented our paper Legalizing file-sharing: is this a real alternative? (co authors: Vallbé, Joan-Josep; Handke, Christian; Quintais, Joao) at the 5th Vienna music business research days. I presented my piracy research as well as our work on Alternative Compensation Schemes at the 3rd Global Congress on IP and the Public Interest in Cape Town, SA.
