Karagarga middlemen/movies

Critical Culture

Karagarga calls itself “a private bittorrent community specializing in arthouse, alternative, cult and classic movies”. I call it: a treasure-trove of world cinema. Want some Jacques Rivette to pass your evening? Take your pick from 14 films. How about some Yasujiro Ozu? There are 39 to choose from. Satyajit Ray? Kazimierz Karabasz? Nicholas Ray? 32. 10. 21. How about a huge list of film noir, a detailed write-up of films from Quebec, or helpful introductions to films, film movements, and filmmakers you haven’t discovered yet? Check, check, and check. In fact, all encompassed, Karagarga’s history of movies contains over 13,000 films! All with passionate discussion, background info, and links to subtitles (some hand-made) in a variety of languages; and all constantly up-kept to make sure the rips are of the highest quality possible.

What you won’t find at Karagarga, however, are mainstream films, screeners, or anything shot with a camcorder inside a movie theatre. If that’s what you’re looking for, the Internet is already teeming with more than enough sites to tickle your urge. If, on the other hand, you’re interested in a community of worldwide cinephiles dedicated to the preservation and experience of over one hundred years of cinema, come on in, and join. It’s free. It’s fun. You’ll make friends.

The link below will take you to the sign-up page:

join Karagarga!

Oh, and there are some broad time and quantity limits on accepting new members, so, as the curlers say: hurry hard!

Hi, could you please invite me to Karagarga? I’m an arts student and having access to that kind of material would help my development as an artist immensely :)!

Michael — July 16, 2010 @ 2:29 am

I am beyond desperate for an invitation. I have a lot of material that I’ve collected from exhibits at museums during my earlier student years in western Europe. And I’m dying of curiosity. I need to see their selection.

Please Please Please. -also- I can trade a demonoid invite.

Blueyefinity — July 22, 2010 @ 7:27 pm

lsasser — February 6, 2011 @ 4:40 am

I’m a member of both Cinemageddon and Demonoid, with good ratios at both sites. I am responsible and seed. I also contribute monetarily when the need arises. If I am graced with an invite, I’ll do my part to support KG.

Tyler — February 14, 2011 @ 3:45 pm

If anyone has an additional invitation to KG, please get in touch. I have a large collection or artist videos, spanning from the 1970s through now, so would be happy to share them with the community.

Genesis — March 24, 2011 @ 12:12 pm

Hello there, please send me the invitation, as I can share with you my exquisite collection of Eastern European art house and Nazi documentary collection.
Cheers, Genesis

If anyone is actually looking at these I’d be extremely grateful for an invite. I’m a cinemageddon member with a pretty consistent 1.1 ratio, and I can send you a picture if you’d like. I know people are wary of giving them to random names on the internet, but I’ve been desperate for a KG account since someone referred to them as the art house to CG’s grind house. Thanks again.

So I am not the only one here to ask for Karagarga invite. I thought it wont be easy and it’s not. Anyway, I love movies, music, paintings, comics and even performance art. You can make change and allow me to continue this fine journey through the waters of art if you give me invite. So here is the mail at the bottom and if you make it happen, or you not, all the best anyway.

Hi, I have karagarga invitation and need waffles or what.cd invitation. Can anyone help?

rod — May 27, 2011 @ 1:40 pm

Hi all

I was desperate for a KG invite and started searching the web for how to get one. I found the site

http://www.torrent-invites.com

If you sign up it’s a good place to get invites to private trackers, and I was able to get a KG invite without too much hassle – good luck!

Pascal — May 27, 2011 @ 4:31 pm

Dear people of KG
I gave up cinema for some years, then through torrent sites being born i stumbled on Freakyflicks on Piratebay, that was a gift from the heavens. Only now i came across Karagarga and would love to join and share if there is anything i could offer this community. I have an amazing documentary on the history of jazz music,Dharma movies, and some jewels that i dont know if they are on your list. Best wishes.
